Marcus Troy Evans, the oldest child of both Barbara Boyd and
St. Matthew Evans was born on April 4, 1986. He entered eternal rest on
Sunday March 19, 2017. He was educated in the Baltimore City Public School
System.
Marcus, affectionally known as Bird was an intelligent, adventurous, fun and
loving child. He enjoyed playing sports, especially basketball and was
admired for his ability to handle and dunk the ball. He was also an expert with technology.
His parents made sure that he became a part of his extended family lives,
their he was accepted loved and supported. Marcus shared a bond with his
maternal grandparents Jacqueline Bogier and the late James Norris. His
grandfather was very instrumental in nursing him. He helped to develop him
to become independent and a strong man. He always found it busy to talk
with his grandmother who would listen and advise without being
judgmental.
As his parents began to add to their families. The love he supplied with his
siblings had no limit; this love was also extended to his many cousins. Family
was always his priority. One Sunday, while at church with his mother and
other family members he heard the call of God while his cousin Bishop
Terrance Whitaker was preaching. Him and his cousin Davon walked to
receive prayer and accepted salvation.
On April 22, 2005, he became the proud father of a handsome baby boy
name Jamartae Troy Javon Evans and on January 24, 2010 he completed his
family with the birth of his beautiful daughter Korey Oisi’ya Palmer. He loved
and nurtured them all the days of his life.
Marcus was well liked and respected. He made many lifelong friends.
If he trusted you he would expose the gentle side by himself. He will forever
be remembered by those who loved and knew him.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Norris and
Paternal grandmother, Evelyn Evans.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his parents, Barbara Boyd and
St. Matthews Evans, Sr.; step father, Garrett Boyd, Sr.five brothers, Garrett
Boyd, Jr., Charles McGaney, La’Drian Price, St. Matthew, Jr. and Jamaine Evans; five sisters, Tazra and Angelia McGaney, Taneisha, Myneisha and Meaisa
Evans; maternal grandmother, Jacqueline Bogier; paternal grandfather,
Angelo Evans; three uncles, Ernest Morgan (Rose), James Phillips (Keenya),
Andre Evans and Anthony Johnson; six aunts, Thersa Glover, Ianthony
Summerville, Margo Echoes (Lamont), Evelyn White, Berdina and Angela
Evans and a host of nieces, nephews, great aunts and uncles, cousins,
God sisters, brothers and friends.
