Willie Fayall was born on November 20, 1941 to the late Marie Washington and Thomas Fayall in Jamestown, South Carolina. He was called home on January 28, 2021.
Willie was raised in Jamestown, South Carolina with his siblings, Celestine Fayall and Aaron Cheese. Soon, the family migrated to Baltimore Maryland and he received his education in Baltimore.
At a young age, Willie served a short term in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge due to illness.
Earning his own money and paying his own way was the only option for Willie. After a few small jobs, Willie went to work at Bethlehem Steel located in Sparrows Point Maryland. He retired in 1999, after 34 years of employment.
He met his fiancé, Clacy, in 2001. And from this union, two families became complete.
Willie was an avid reader. His favorite book was the Bible, which he read several times a day. He loved watching old westerns, eating cheese, taking a nip or two and partying with his family and friends.
Willie enjoyed spending time with his family and friends - at home or out and about the town. He especially loved spending time with his dear friends - Delilah (Lee-Lee), Punch, Big and Little Al, Cooper, Cherlyn (Bootsie), Diane, Gloria, Barbara, Fabra, Kevin and many more. Willie developed a special relationship with Mr. Joe (Cab#557) who faithfully transported him to his early morning appointments, three times each week.
He leaves to cherish his memory: His fiancé Clacy Y. Gilbert, daughter Kim Lowery; two grandsons, John Dorsey and Anthony Dorsey; one stepson; Anthony “George” Parks; two great grandchildren, Kayla Jones and Taylor Dorsey; one niece, Linda Jones; cousin and friend; Steve Phyall, long-time friend, Abe McCauley; 89 great-nieces and nephews; 39 great great-nieces & nephews and 39 great-great-great nieces and nephews, and a host of other family members and friends.
