Wanda Whiting-Niazi Obituary

Wanda Evette Whiting was born October 10, 1963 in Baltimore, Maryland to Catherine Simmons and the late William E. Whiting. She was called home to be with Lord Sunday, July 7th 2019.

Wanda was educated in the Baltimore City & Baltimore County Public School Systems where she was an athlete and became a track and field star.

Wanda was baptized at an early age by Bishop Austin Barnes at the Saint Joseph Freewill Baptist Church.

Wanda had many hobbies. She was known in some circles as a pool shark and   was an avid lottery player “Sorry I can’t give you her go to numbers, but those who knew her knows what they are”. If you would call her after work or on the weekend and asked what she was doing, her response would most likely be “playing backgammon and/or watching Judge Judy”.

Wanda was loving, compassionate and she had the ability to make people laugh. She was not known for “sugar coating” things. Even at an early age she was known to be very outspoken and always straight to the point.

Wanda leaves to cherish her memory her children Katrina and Kalvin Fulton; grandchildren, Allen, Kayla, Kalya, MyAsia and grandson to be born August 2019 Zakai Fulton. She also leaves to mourn her memory, her mother and stepfather Catherine and Melvin Simmons, her siblings Wiley “Hooch”, Elliott “Fat Daddy” (Pamela) and Brenda (Antyion). She was preceded in death by one sister, Kelli.

Wanda had so many special people in her life including her Aunt and Uncle Doretha “Resa” and Rickey. She also leaves behind Frank “Bill” Martin whom she loved and adored very much as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her greatly.

Think of me as one at rest, for me you should not weep. I have no pain no troubled thoughts for I am just asleep. The living thinking, me that was, is now forever still. And life goes on without me now, as time forever will. If your heart is heavy now, because I've gone away Dwell not long upon it family and friends. For none of us can stay Those of you who liked me, I sincerely thank you all. And those of you who loved me, I thank you most of all. And in my fleeting lifespan, as time went rushing by, I found some time to hesitate, to laugh, to love, to cry Matters it now if time began. If time will ever cease, I was here, I used it all, and now I am at peace.
