Tracey Antoinette Hughes was born September 30, 1969, to Diane Tate and the late Otis Hughes Jr. Tracey was a friendly child and loved to laugh to play.
Tracey was educated in the Baltimore City Public School system. She attended and graduated from Southern High School majoring computer science. She later attended some classes at Baltimore City Community College.
Tracey had many things she enjoyed doing such as braiding hair, working on find the word puzzles and she really knew how to clean a house.
In 1985 Tracey gave birth to her first child Mark Holmes (Mutt). She loved being a mother. In 1989 she gave birth to Devin Christopher Hardy who preceded her death. In 1996 she received the blessing of a little girl Ameerah Priester.
As with so many people Tracey had troubles in her life. But that never wavered the love she had for her children, family or friends. She could shower you with so much unconditional love. Tracey was real.
Tracey leaves to cherish her memory her mother Gail “Diane” Cousins, her children Mark Holmes and Ameerah Priester; her only granddaughter Morgan Holmes. Siblings Elaine Hughes, Yvonne Hughes (proceeded in death) Otis Hughes III, Letitia (Fitz) Tabitha (Nelly) Kaylena Hughes, Otis Hughes IV and April Hughes; her maternal Grandmother Margaret Conley and Paternal Grandparents Otis Hughes Sr. and Lena Hughes. Uncles and Aunts: David Conley, Johnnie Conley (Nevell Conley) Carolyn Jones, Robin “Shelly” Conley, James Paul Neely, Sean Hughes, Shirley Hughes, Patricia and Elaine Hughes. She was preceded in death by her uncles, Robert L. Conley Sr., Melvin Conley and Aunts Yvonne Hughes and Linda Hughes; her longtime friends Yolanda Jones, Charvette McLaurin and Cassandra Nelson and a host of other relatives and friends.
