TOBI LANAE CARTER, daughter of Tanya Latrice Carter and Daryl Wade was born on March 6, 1996 at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life on Monday, March 2, 2020 after a valiant three-year fight with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension.
Tobi accepted Jesus Christ at a young age in 1999 and joined New Psalmist Baptist Church. She was a faithful member who loved studying God's word and looked forward to after sermon hugs from her Bishop. She served on various ministries including the Prophetic Praise Dance Ministry and the SOP Choir.
Tobi began her elementary education at the St. James and St. John Catholic School in East Baltimore. She went on to graduate from the Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. She lead with a smile leaving an indelible mark on the WVWC Campus.
Tobi was diagnosed with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension in her junior year and was forced to briefly put her education on hold in the spring of 2017. Tobi proudly received her Bachelors degree in Health Science in May 2019 along with several accolades including Spirit Award Winner and Multicultural Senior Award Recipient.

Upon graduation Tobi returned to Baltimore where she was employed at AGS programs servicing the mental health community. While there, her passion for all things beauty evolved and in January 2020 with enthusiasm and extreme excitement she birthed Rare Beauty as a makeup artist and certified lash extension technician.
Tobi was a constant light always ready to listen, give and inspire. She cherished her family and friends immensely and spent her time dancing, laughing, watching movies, singing and online shopping.
