Thomas Haywood, also known as Bubba, was born May 17, 1935 to the late Jack Haywood and Aline Haywood. He peacefully departed his life on January 22, 2018.
He received his education in Baltimore City Public Schools. Upon completion of his education, he entered in the United States Army and served in the Airborne Unit for 4 years. After completing his service in the army, he worked as a truck driver for Pilgrim’s Laundry until he retired.
Thomas married the former Bernice Dukes, and from that union came two children and five grandchildren. Bubba loved his family. He loved to play cards with family and friends and to socialize with family and longtime friend Virgil Crawford.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Rebecca Smith and Rosa Burgess and brothers, Steven Haywood and Jack Haywood, Jr.
He leaves to mourn his wife, Bernice Haywood, two children Leon and Arlene, five grandchildren, Claude, Bryant, Kendrick, Sade, Qiania, his sisters Louise Brogdon, Madeline Dorm (Roy) and Patricia Haywood and one aunt Annie Mae Owens, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
