THOMAS BERNIE HALL, son of the late Thomas Diggs and Lenora P. Hall was born on February 11, 1955 in Baltimore, MD. "Speedy" (Monk) as he was affectionally known by family and friends, departed this life on Friday February 26, 2021.
Speedy received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. He attended the Baltimore City High School and graduating from Northern High School in 1974.
May 1974-April 1978 he served in The Army National Guard.
Speedy worked for the City of Baltimore in The Department of Public Works with a CDL License.
Speedy started his Christian walk at the Nazarene Temple Apostolic Faith Church under the leadership of the late Bishop Thomas Harris, where he accepted Christ as his personal savior and was baptized in 1968. Speedy loved attending Sunday School with his God Parents Deacon and Sister Graham. After the passing of his God Parents speedy began attending, The First Apotolic Faith Church under the leadership of Bishop Winfield Showell. Speedy served faithfully as an Amor Bearer for our very own Apostle Franklin Cornelius Showell. He also sang on The Men's Church Choir.
Speedy encouraged his family to read their Bibles and to hide the Word of God in their hearts. Speedy was taught "That It's A Wonderful Thing to Know The Lord".
Speedy loved going fishing with his grandchildren, he liked watching sports with his grandsons, The Ravens was favorite football team. Carolina was his favorite college basketball team. Speedy loved riding motorcycles, but most of all he loved traveling with his family to Disney World and North Carolina visiting family.
Speedy's grandchildren were his Whole World. Speedy's entrance always lite up the room with his contagious smile.
Speedy was preceded in death by his brother Bernard Pete Hall. He leaves to cherish his fond memory: His loving wife Kathy Hall, his son, Rodney (Tanya), his daughter, Shanea (Lance Sr.); four grandsons, Lance Jr., Sharrod, Elijah and Kaden; his one and only granddaughter; LaShay (Buddy), three great grandsons; Landen, Ahmaud, Amil; two sisters, Catherine Hall-Eddy, Laura F. Jones; one brother-in-law, Nathaniel Dupree; two uncles, James Rodgers (Francine), Richard Rodgers (Darlene); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a great host of friends.
