STEVEN AARON WALKER, SR, was born on August 16, 1961 to the late Eleanor Johnson & Allen Walker, Sr. in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Suddenly on the night of Friday October 13, 2023, Steven passed away at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland, surrounded by family and friends at the age 62 years old. Steven was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System. He worked as a professional painter for Sherwin Williams for over 10yrs as well as completing other side jobs for family and friends. Steven met and married the love of his life Betty Jones. Upon meeting her he was very eager to change her last name to Walker and he did so on August 15, 1986 to which 2 children were born and 6 children were also gained. He was loved by everyone, Steven affectionately known as Tank was definitely a people person and well respected by all who loved him. If you knew him you couldn't help but to love him. Steven was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and son, he enjoyed watching his wife cooking in the kitchen, the Ravens & Eagles' football games and playing with his grandchildren.
Steven had a special bond with his grandson Dai'on Walker. He had a hand in raising Dai'on when he was younger, he loved his grandfather, Dai'on would follow him all over the house. Steven would take Dai'on to get haircuts, store trips to get candy and walks down to the harbor.
Steven was proceeded in death by his sisters, Darlene Walker-Johnson, Sylvia Green and Deborah Williams; brother, Derrick Walker and other cherished family members.
Steven leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife Betty Walker, children, four daughters, Sherreice, Darniece Johnson, Tamira Blair and Ilea Walker; four sons, Barry, Tony, Teddie Johnson and Steven A. Walker, Jr.; brothers, Allen Walker and Vernon Jones; sisters, Deanna Walker, Dawn Johnson, Yolanda Sydnor, Janice Howard, Delorse Jones, Evelyn Jones and Elizabeth Jones; twenty-eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
