Stephanie Tina Monroe, 31, was born on February 19, 1989, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She graduated from Vivian T. Thomas Medical Arts Academy in 2008. During her teenage years, Stephanie worked as a camp counselor at Our Village Daycare. She loved children and especially her daughter Zimera.
She suffered many years with her sickle cell disease, and sometimes it got the best of her. However, she remained humbled and fought the best fight she could. Stephanie found the Lord when she was just a child, and the Lord was ready for his child to come home.
Stephanie was compassionate and always wanted to know what happened. She loved to hang out with her friends. She will be missed dearly for her kindness and loyalty. She underwent some tough times but, she always greeted you with her beautiful smile. When her birthday was near, She was ready to turn up and have a good time. (Spoken in her words). Her family is saddened and devastated by her loss.
Stephanie was preceded in death by her father, John Monroe, and Aunt Juanita Calloway.
Stephanie is survived by her daughter, Zimera Williams, two brothers Ronald Johnson and Mark Jackson; mother, Sherry Calloway; aunts, Paulette Stiff, Victoria DeCruise, Alisha Nicholson; grandmother, Jannie Calloway; cousins, O’Rustu Brown Jr., Shakita Brown, Janay Kemp, Jamal Calloway, Darian DeCruise, Armisha Brown, and Dillion DeCruise; four great-aunts, and her long-life best friends. She also is survived by her sister, Malinda Davis; three brothers and seven other sisters, and two nieces on her father’s side.
