A Time to be Born Shanika Irita Lunn, daughter of Annette P Lunn and Leroy Lunn was born on June 12, 1980, in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed her temporary home on Monday, September 27, 2021.
Life Journey She received her education from Patterson High School and after receiving her diploma, she enrolled in RET School of Technology. from 11/1998 to 9/1999, and received her technology certificate. Shanika was employed by University of Maryland School from October, 2004, until her disability November, 2016. She also worked with the Housing Authority of Baltimore City from 1999 to 2004. She was baptized into God’s family in 2012, at Zion Baptist Church.
Upon retiring she enjoyed spending time with family, especially being with kids, going to the movies, drawing and sketching, and listening to her oldies, and adventuring out on field trips with kids. Her most cheerful moment was the birth of her son Jamal ( J ) whom she loves spending much of her time with.
A Time to Rest After a lengthy illness, God called Shanika from labor to rest. She leaves to cherish her precious memory, her son Jamal; mother, Annette; father, Leroy (stepmom) Carla; two brothers, Antonio & Byron; grandparents; Sally, Sammie and Besty; three aunts, Polly, Marie and Wendy; three uncles, Bobby, Jammie, Junior, (Andrew preceded her in death); Cousins like sibling, Rodney, Anthony, Nashawn, Candice, Danielle and Mucci; and a host of other aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews; special friends like Sisters, Nicole, Catrina, Gail, Amelia, Takia & Jessica.
