Rudolph Wilkins Sr. was born in Ebony County, Virginia; September 13, 1932, to the late Ben J. and Blanche Wilkins.
He departed on May 7, 2020 after an extended illness. He attended school at James Samuel Russell High School in Brunswick County, Virginia. At an early age, he joined Good Hope Baptist Church, in Blackridge, Virginia. Rudolph was a United States Army Veteran and he served in the U.S. Army for two years. Rudolph worked at Bethlehem Steel for 32 years. Rudy also worked as a bricklayer as a second job; laying bricks for many years. He was a jack of all trades.
On December 13, 1958 Rudolph Wilkin Sr. was married to Mae A. Carroll; to this union six children were born. One son preceded him in death. He was a devoted loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
He leaves to cherish the memories of his love; a devoted wife Mae A. Wilkins; two daughters; Cynthia Michelle House of Lawrenceville, VA and Jennell Page of Baltimore, MD; three sons Ravens Wilkins Sr. of Baltimore, MD, Erwin Wilkins of Baltimore, MD, and Keith Wilkins of Baltimore, MD; three daughters-in-law Donna Wilkins of Baltimore, MD, Kelly Wilkins of Baltimore, MD, and Charlene Wilkins of Baltimore, MD; two son-in-law Jarvis M. Page Sr. of Baltimore, MD and Bobby House of White Plain, VA; 13 grandchild and 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law Mary L. Wilkins District of Columbia, Levern Wilkins of Baltimore, MD; one brother-in-law James T.C. Brown of Ebony VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
