Roosevelt Davis was born to the late William Davis Sr. and Jessie Mae Davis on December 8, 1965.
He was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System and graduated from Venable High School in 1985.
Roosevelt worked for Schwaber Management for 12 years. He worked at different car washes. He volunteered at Bea Gaddy’s where he liked to help people. Most of all, he was a jack of all trades! He could fix anything! He enjoyed working on cars and doing home improvements.
Roosevelt affectionately known to all as “Main” loved his family, had a kind heart, and would always make you laugh. He loved watching the Ravens football games with his mom on Sundays. Most of all his mother will miss eating together and asking him baby boy what do you want to eat, and he would say “don’t worry about me because I’m making me a “hook up”. He had a special bond with all his nieces and nephews.
Roosevelt accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at Greater Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church. He was one of the charter members under the leadership and founder Reverend J. R. Halsey. Roosevelt sung on the Jr. Male Chorus, Mass Choir, and was an usher.
Preceding him in death brothers William Davis Jr. and Stoney Lee Davis.
He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Jessie Mae Davis; two sisters, Jeanette Davis-Royster (David) and Shanelle McQueen (Vincent); aunts, Bertha Bell, Rebecca Foster and Estelle Foster (Norman) all of Baltimore, Doretha Perry of Atlanta, Atlean Jordan, Rosia Hall (Joe) of South Carolina, Dorothy Davis of New York; one uncle Michael Young (Lavern) of South Carolina; and a host of relatives, family, and friends.
