Robert Gasque Jr.

Robert Gasque, Jr., son of the late Robert Lee Gasque, Sr. and Almeda Gasque, was born on October 11, 1938, in Dillion, South Carolina. He departed this life on August 27, 2025.

He received his early education in the Dillion, South Carolina school system.

His father moved the family to Baltimore in 1946, where he worked as a carpenter and a licensed machine operator until he retired.

Robert made numerous friends wherever he went. He was affectionately known as “Gas” or “Gangster” to his closest friends. He especially loved hanging with his closest friend, Bo.

Robert was the oldest of his brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Gasque, and his sisters Hattie Winder, Francine Pierce, and Margie Ferguson.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his children, Michael, Janet, Sonia and Gary; his brothers, Jake and Donald Gasque, his sisters, Delores Gasque, Katrina Gasque and Gail Gasque-Epps, his best friend, Bo, his grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives who loved him dearly.
