RICHARD EDWARD TISDALE JR. was born to the late Lillie Ruth Eggleston Kelly and Richard Edward Tisdale Sr. on June 12, 1955 in Baltimore, Maryland. Richard attended Baltimore City Public Schools and after attending Dunbar High School he enrolled in The Job Core Program where he learned multiple skills and as a result became a skilled painter gaining employment with The City of Baltimore Recreation and Parks and Morgan State University. Richard was known for his glistening snow white hair and freckles. He was a free spirited, humorous and bubbly person who always had a smile on his face until you rubbed him the wrong way. His favorite line was YES SIR! and he would pronounce it and drag it out YEZZZ SIRRR!!! and when it came down to frying chicken he could put KFC to shame. He was very protective of his family and friends and if you ever needed him for anything he would show up and rise to the occasion. Richard loved and adored his daughters and was a proud father, grandfather and great grandfather and shared a special bond with his nephew Wayne.
He leaves to cherish his memories his lifetime partner Tammie Lassiter, 3 daughters Ricshawner Tisdale Izzard (Twiggy), Keshia Rowlett and Chawanda Tisdale (Cha-Cha), 2 daughters Tanya Gant and Shamecka Tisdale preceded him in death; 2 sisters Denise and Lisa Kelly; 2 brothers, Andre Eggleston Sr. and Eddie Tisdale and 1 sister Deborah Taylor preceded him in death; 2 uncles George and Robert Effleston 1 brother-in-law, Vernon Taylor Sr.; 1 son-in-law, Ernest Izzard; 6 grandchildren, Darius, Dominic, Lance, Kechia, Deja and Sampson; 3 great-grandchildren, Brooke. Demi and Denim; 10 nieces and nephews, ELV, Poli, Butter, Mush, Kimmy, Dede, Dayo, Wayne, Iman and Aigner and a host of other relatives, friend and aquaintances.
