The life of QUINTEZ R. BARNETT, began on Tuesday, July 11, 2000 when he was born to Renae Kennedy and Quincy Barnett Sr. He was the fifth born of six. He was educated in Baltimore City Public Schools.
Quintez better known as, "Poppy", was a big jokester and loved to make everyone laugh. Poppy stayed "Fresh" and he was "ALWAYS" in the mirror. He loved rapping and making videos. But one thing for certain and two for sure, no one and I mean no one loved to see him dance more than his mother-Renae.
Poppy was loved by all of his nieces and nephews; and he loved them just as much. Always joking and playing with them, he was just another big kid in their eyes. Poppy shared a special relationship with his sister Monk; always seeing him as her first baby, he never did no wrong in her eyes. Although Poppy, Ricardo, James, Carlos and Jawaun were cousins; their love and bond was more like brothers. They would argue and be friends five minutes later.
Poppy and Ladasia met in 2019 and she quickly became the love of his life. They were always together. She calmed him in a way that others couldn't and on April 29, 2020 she gave the best gift of all, Quintez Rashad Barnett Jr. He was so proud to be a father.
Poppy leaves his loving memories to : loving parents: Renae Kennedy and Quincy Barnett Sr.; his beloved son, Quintez Jr.; sisters, Shatara and Shatavia Smith; brothers, Reginald Smith, Quincy Barnett, and Ja'von Scriber; grandparents, Sarah McMillon, John and Carolyn Eden; great grandparents, Owen and Hilda Kennedy; special aunt, Tarsha Dorsey; uncle, Richard Aikens; nieces, Latara, Kennedi and Ryliegh; nephews, Tavion and Quincy Jr., girlfriend, Ladasia Moore and a host of cousins, family and friends.
