I, Purnell William Hall Sr., graced this Earth on October 24, 1984 to Demetria Stanley and Purnell Kevin Hall. I dipped out on August 1, 2023.
I was affectionately known to my friends and family, with my permission of course, as Wuddacups, Big Show, Perm or Big Perm. I attended Baltimore City Public Schools and was raised and baptized in Fountain Baptist Church. As I got older, I converted to the Nation of Islam. Both religions taught me a lot and strengthen me through a higher power. I also loved my job at St. Vincent DePaul of Baltimore as Top Notch Security. I worked there for a year and a half.
I did my thing on the basketball court. I traveled all over the country playing in AAU and in BNBL basketball leagues. During an Easter Championship game I even won MVP. My two most memorable coaches were Mr. Vines and Sarge. They stayed in my life even after they weren't my coaches anymore. Although they've had some rough seasons, I was a diehard Ravens fan! Two of my favorite pastimes were eating and traveling. Dancing and laughing were at the top of my list too. I loved going to family functions and being with my people, especially my children.
I'm not sure why I had to go, but I did. I'm leaving to cherish our greatest memories, my mother, Big DeeDee; my dad, Purnell; my stepdad, Morris; my two daughters, Mikayah and Malayah; my son, Purnell Jr. (PJ); my grandparents, Joan and Willie Nelson; my sisters, Erica, Danielle, Dominique and Amanda; my brother Kevin; six nephews, Tion, Dimari, Quron, Aiden, Denim and Cashton; three nieces, Angel, McKenzie and Autumn; five aunts, Vera Sabrina, April, Lorraine and Tracey; two uncles, Eddie and Murrel (Poopie); my godparents, Karen, Tutta, Kevin and Timmy; and my special cousins Tara, Kia (Juvie), Sean and Samson; and a host of other friends and family members. I have a lot of homies, but I have to call out a few people who were with me until the end...George "Stretch" and Leon "Lemo". To all my ladies, I love and miss yall. To my baby mama, Michelle, thank you for my kids and everything we shared.
Even though you are sad right now, be happy knowing that I am partying with Grandma, Mama, my great grandmother, Momma Toots, William (Pop Pop), my grand dad Albert Hall, Faith, Tina, Buddy, Eric, Mel and Ball. I'm always going to be with you and we will always have OUR special moments.
