Prudence Lewis Johnson was born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Essie Lewis Grimes and Floyd Epps on August 6, 1945. She went into eternity peacefully with family and loved ones by her side on July 4, 2021. She was educated within Baltimore City Public Schools. She was employed as an aide within several nursing home facilities. Prudence loved spending time with her family and friends. She was affectionately known as “Momma” Prudence was a compassionate woman. She fed anyone who was hungry and opened her home to anyone needing shelter. She loved dancing and listening to Luther Vandross songs. Her favorite scripture was Psalms 23. On Mother’s Day, May 9, 2021; Prudence received Jesus Christ as her personal Savior ensuring her Salvation and eternal home in Glory.
Our matriarch leaves to cherish her precious memory and celebrate her victorious life: daughters Prudence L. Johnson II, Patricia Johnson-Horne, Yvette Johnson-Harper, Jeanine Jones-Alexander, and Augustina Williams; son Ali Johnson Sr.; Son-In-Laws Eddie Harper, Elvon Horne Jr., and Kevin Alexander; sisters Claudette Bruce, Monica VanDyke, and Vernell Murray; Brothers Tyrone Lewis, Alexander Epps, and Reginald Lewis; 12 grand-children, 13 great-grandchildren; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
