Michael John Obituary

Michael Anthony John, born in St. George’s, Grenada, West Indies on March 14, 1951. He was born to the late Stephen and Louisa John, and preceded in death by his rst wife, Delys; his sister, Theresa Campbell and brother, Deryck John.

He received his education in Grenada, West Indies and went on to be a mason by trade. He played cricket with his father on Sundays and was a good hitter in the sport. He is known to friends in Grenada as Kickkiss and Ram.

Michael migrated to the United States at an early age in October, 1971. He resided in Brooklyn, NY where his son Michael John Jr. was born to him and Delys. He relocated to Boston, Mass. where he was the general manager of Herrnstein Building Complex. He did not just stop there because he wanted to see and explore what more America has to oer, so in April of 1981 he relocated to Baltimore, MD with his family. Each time Michael relocated, he left behind a trail of love, faith, hope, and kindness to his relatives and friends. He came back to visit as often as time allowed him. In 1997, Michael together with two friends, Michael and Robert, started the Sharpe Painting Company. He found love again and married Cleva in 2009. Michael will always be remembered as a loving, kind-hearted person but no nonsense to all he touched and loved.

Michael departed this life on November 3, 2021 at Union Memorial Hospital. He leaves to mourn his wife, Cleva; son, Michael, Jr.; daugh - ter in-law, Latia; granddaughter, Chaunae; two great granddaughters, Nova & Mariana; bonus granddaughters, Talesha & Talayah; mother in-law, Mausila James in Grenada; step daughter, Marlene Richards aka Rockell, her husband Donavan; seven step grandchildren; brothers, Joseph aka Tanka in Grenada, Cecile aka Carlyle, Hebert aka Kenny and Michael aka Tatoo in the USA; sisters, Bernadette John Baptiste, Gloria John Aird and Carol James all in the USA; nieces and nephews- Shaun, Andrea, Michelle, Karim, Keron, Jermaine, Nicole, Marcus, Kenrick, Joeyshaw, Kimberly and Chinelle; many grand nieces and nephews, eight brothers in-law and sisters in-law; aunt Lucy Frederick, uncles Elis and Edward Strachan, many other relatives and friends in Grenada, USA, England and Canada too numerous to mention.
