Makaela L. Woodard

Makaela Logan Woodard was born to Cornell and Shani Woodard in Baltimore, MD on November 2, 2004. She peacefully departed this life to be with her Heavenly Father on January 26, 2021.

Makaela attended Ridge Ruxton School in Baltimore County where they aided in special needs care. She enjoyed being around other kids at school until she began full time home schooling four years ago.

Makaela loved her nightly book readings with her mother and sister. She always enjoyed her rides home from school with daddy singing and dancing. She loved the outdoors more than anything and would always get excited when we asked “Are you ready to put your clothes on!” At 1 year old, Makaela found the love of her life Elmo (Sesame Street). Makaela had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul and she loved being silly.

Makaela taught us what unconditional love really is. She gave us all courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life. She loved to swing so high on the swings. She just simply and purely loved her parents, sister and everyone who was a huge part of her life. Preceding her in death is her grandfather Cornell Woodard, Sr.

Makaela leaves to cherish her memories her parents Cornell and Shani; Her loving sister Cortni; grandparents, Gregory and Claudette Davis; grandmother Sally Woodard; three aunts, two uncles and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
