Lori Clea Obituary

LORI CLEA was born to the late Wilbur White and Joyce Ann Williams on August 2, 1961 in Baltimore, Maryland. Lori transitioned from her earthly tabernacle to her spiritual tabernacle on February 7, 2021.

Lori was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System and attended Patterson High School. She graduated from USA Training with a diploma from the business secretary curriculum in April of 1989. Over the years, Lori was employed by B & J Check Cashing, C & S Crews Construction Company, Good Samaritan Hospital, Union Memorial Hospital and for the last 23 years at the Department of Housing Community Development.

Lori's first loves were her three children, Jerele Stanley, Willie Adams, Jr. and Melissa (Price) Wade. Lori met and fell in love with Isaac Clea over 30 years ago. Isaac was a strong and present figure in the lives of her children. Their love blossomed and they were united in holy matrimony on June 12, 2002. Lori enjoyed spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. Among her favorite pastimes were reading, crocheting, watching movies, eating at various restaurants, going to amusement parks and watching fireworks. She also enjoyed playing pinochle with family and friends, especially her close friend, Sharone Henderson.

Lori gave her life to Christ at an early age and attended Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Lori later joined Southern Baptist Church with her husband, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Nathaniel Higgs, where they both sang on the choir and she served on the Usher Board. They transitioned to New Psalmist Baptist Church, attending and completing discipleship classes. Lori  ultimately joined Greater St. John Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Elect Clinton S. Adam where she was the president of the Usher Board. She loved serving as an usher and was a dedicated and faithful servant.

Lori leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Isaac A. Clea; three children, Jerele, Willie, Jr. and Melissa; her mother, Joyce Ann Williams; five sisters, Darlene (James), Linda, Theresa, Lisa and Jackie; two brothers, Henry Williams and Rodney Cherry; one brother-in-law, Walter Lee; nine grandchildren, Jerele, Jr., Nateja, Destiney, Ja'Mya, Mi'Shea, Ma'Kenna, Equadzanir, Jakari and Travon, Jr.; two honorary sons, Maurice Wade and Tavon, Sr; two devoted friends of many years, Andrea Campfield and Sharone Henderson and a host of godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Lori was preceded in death by her father, Wilbur and two sisters, Gwen Willy and Dianne Lee.
