Larry A. Scott, son of the late Joseph Scott, Sr. and Lorraine Scott was born on May 24, 1955 in Baltimore, Maryland. God sent his angels down to call him home on September 19, 2021.
Larry accepted Christ at an early age. He received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System, graduating from Samuel Gumpers High School. After graduation Larry went into the United States Armed Forces where he served for many years, before being honorably discharged. After leaving the Armed Forces he found a career in construction.
Larry met Linda in the early 80s, later marrying in 1987. From this union there were two children, Alicia & Cordell. Larry was a family man and he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially at the annual Simms Family Reunion. In his early years he loved to dance, attending music festivals and concerts. He loved watching football and boxing. He overall loved to have a good time!
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph & Lorraine Scott and sister, Paulette Napper.
His memories will forever be cherished by his loving & devoted wife, Linda Scott; daughter, Alicia Foster; son, Cordell Scott; grandchildren, Tashauna, Antowan, Anthony & Andrew; sisters, Maxine Moore, Olivia “DeeDee” Butler, Sylvia Walker (Robin), Valerie “Necy” Mays (James); brothers, Joseph Scott, Jr. (Tara), Darrell Scott, Sr.; aunt, Delores Kenney; sister in-laws, Brenda, Rosa & Catherine; brother in-laws, Kennedy & Floyd and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
