Kim Louise Martin-Pender was born in Baltimore, MD to the late Delores and Blease Martin on January 3, 1959. She departed this life unexpectedly, but peacefully, on Saturday, September 16, 2023.
Kim was educated in Baltimore City public schools, graduating from Venable High School. She went on to become a steward in the hospitality industry, where she was employed long-term at the Tremont Plaza hotel and most recently at Fresh Market. Throughout her career, Kim remained dedicated to meeting the needs of her customers with care.
Kim was the life of the party, always laughing, dancing, and having a good time. She brought everyone together and was her happiest when her house was filled with people. Everyone always felt welcome, whether it was game night, a themed party, or a holiday celebration. Kim’s home was the place to be, the gathering spot. Although Kim was born and raised in Baltimore, unfortunately[DV1] , she was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She was all about the Steelers and proudly sported team hats, gloves, scarves, pajamas, socks, mugs, bags and even a custom mask made by her daughter. She was devoted to Steeler Nation!
Kim leaves to forever cherish her memory, children, Latonya Dickens (Boris), Marketta Williams, and Michael Williams Jr; grandchildren, Jaelyn Dickens, Monet Dickens, Makayla Westry, Michael H.H. Williams, Jazic Poindexter, and Markayla Winston, sisters, Crystal Lawson (Robert) and Davera Smith, brother, Antoine Martin, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, Godchildren, co-workers and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Deborah Foster, brothers, Derek Felton, Gregory Felton, and Howard Martin.
