KIM NARIAN GREEN was born on April, 17, 1974, in Baltimore, MD. to Patricia Brown and the late Willis Arrington Sr. Her mother Patricia later married the stepfather James Brown Sr. in 1986 and together they all raised Kim. She was affectionately known as "Narian" given to her by Aunt Nancy. She was also known as Kimberly Reese by her best friends Christy and Donita. Growing up, Kim was a very lovable child who enjoyed going to school, loved the outdoors, spending time with family and friends but mostly she doted on her baby brothers Derick Sr. and James Jr. whom she loved and cared for like her own.
Kim accepted Christ into her life at an early age. Through her life she faced many obstacles which led her a stray, however, she realized that the safest place is in the will of God, Kim rededicated her life to Christ. In 1997, she was Baptized in the name of the father, son and the holy ghost at the New Pilgrim Baptist Church where her family is deeply rooted. While a member of New Pilgrim, Kim sang briefly with the Mass Choir and enjoyed bible study classes. Kim loved to be spiritually fed and loved watching sermons by Juanita Bynum and T.D. Jakes. Kim received her education at Lake Clifton High School in Baltimore, MD. She was known for having her own style with her signature blonde hair which she rocked. Kim held several jobs, but her passion was doing hair. Everybody from east to west would pull up to Ashland Avenue and Chapel Hill where she used her mother's kitchen and front steps to do hair, she would send her baby brother on missions for hair products for herself and clients. Kim was always booked to do someone hair, if it was money to be made Kim made it happen. Later in life, when God blessed her to become a mother, she taught her daughter Kaiyaz independence and how to stand out to be unique, with her own style. She loved her daughter deeply and would do anything in the world for her. Kim passed on her passion for hair to her daughter. Loyalty was very important to Kim. She cared deeply for her family and friends. She spoke freely about her feelings but would cry easily if she cared. To know Kim was to love her and she was the life of the party, when she entered the room, her presence was felt. Kim's presence and beautiful smile will TRULY BE MISSED.
