KEVIN, our family comedian AKA Dr. Phil gained his wings Sunday July 5, 2020 at his home in Baltimore, MD. When he received his final duty here on Earth, he was 55 years of age. Kevin Eugene May was born September 12, 1964, to Andrea Brown and the late Freddie Lee May. We are honored to say Kevin was baptized and accepted the Lord as his personal savior March of 1998.
Kevin had an infectious laugh and was always the life of the party. You love to see him coming, and hate to see him leaving. He was a joy to be around and kept everyone laughing. Kevin had a very adventurous side; he was a daredevil, rode dirt bikes, loved to flip and walked on his hands. He even jumped Dunn's River Falls in Jamaica which was several hundred feet. If there was a challenge, he was up for it.
Kevin loved his family dearly. He was extremely overprotective of his sisters. Family time meant the world to him; holidays, birthdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas and especially Sundays were his favorite days. He lived for Sunday dinners and family gatherings. Kevin was very affectionate and would overwhelm us with wet kisses and hugs. Feeding the homeless is something that he took pride in. Kevin had a very kind and giving heart-There was nothing he wouldn't do for you.
He attended Baltimore City Public Schools where he thrived in sports and was a world class athlete, ranking #6 in the states for wrestling. Kevin graduated with honors and he received his high school diploma from Lake Clifton High School in 1983. Thus, receiving multiple scholarships to any college of his choice.
After receiving his CDL license from Texas, he was gainfully employed by Baltimore City Waste Management and later Hoffenberg Fuel Company. Kevin worked at H & S Bakery and Peapod for giant food. Kevin held various jobs. Kevin leaves to carry his legacy by his mother; Andrea Brown, son; Keione; step daughter; Sydney; four sisters, Veronica, Betty, VaShawn and Monica, three uncles; Robert, Carroll and Quincy, aunts; Betty (Poly), Sarah, Barbara, Cruz, Teresa and Ella Mae, nieces, Jakkia, Ashley, Kolbi-Monet and Jada, one great niece; Jordynn, special friends; Wayne, Kendall (AJ) and Kenya Hall. As well as a host of nieces, nephews and loved ones to cherish the fond memories of his life. We can't forget his lifelong childhood partners in crime; Jitty, Antmo, Pig, Waldo and Buddy. We just named a few because it's just too many.
He really is now at peace. No more worries of the world and no care to his dismay. Life has many gifts that make us unique and special and that is a beauty in every human being. We will hold on to his legacy close within. Please hold on to him in your heart and mind just as we do.
