On June 13, 1968 in Baltimore, Maryland we were blessed with the presence of JOHN A. TORAIN HOLT. He was the beloved son of Lessie Torain and John H. Holt and the eldest of all his siblings. The lord called him home on Friday March 18, 2022.
John known as "Skeeter" received his formal education in Baltimore City Public Schools where he attended Paul Laurence Dunbar High and received his diploma with the state of Maryland. He also received his degree at the Baltimore International College of Culinary Arts. Skeeter was athletic, he started playing both basketball and football when he was 7 years old at Madison Square Elementary School up until high school. Skeeter met and married Evangeline (Chick) in 1994, he was a man of many titles but the most important title he held was "Father".
Skeeter was a very pleasant, loving and an intelligent man. He was a "family man". He would do whatever he could for his family. He was fondly known for his warm heart, silly jokes and style.
Those who lives he brightened and fulfilled must continue on without him. He will be remembered for the way he lit up a room with his smile and charm.
Skeeter goes home to join: his father John H. Holt, brother Jonny Sawyer, son, Jaquan Holt and best friend Kenny Brown.
He leaves to cherish and carry on his memory; his wife Evangeline Brown-Holt; mother, Lessie Torain; significant partner, Danielle (Duck) Buckner; brothers, Jermaine and Jamar Holt; one sister-in-law, Benita Brown; three sons, Antoine, John, Jabarr; four daughters Taneka, Taneisha, Skai and Journe'i; one son-in-law, Patrick; nine grandchildren, Antonio, Patrick, Aaniyah, Porter, Ayden, John Jr., Journey, Jhai and Amare; four aunts, Bernadette, Diane, Julia and Tangie; four uncles, Jeffrey, Connie, Vincent and Chris and a host of relatives and friends.
