JEFFERY LAMONT THORNTON, was born to the late Calvin Leon Thornton and Sykes Grizzell Long on August 12, 1971. He departed this life suddenly on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.
Jeffery started his life in Newport News, VA, and later moved to Baltimore where he attended Johnson Square Elementary School. In 2010 Jeffery received Christ and was baptized. He also received his high school diploma and was certified as a forklift operator.
Jeffery was a man of many talents. He was a comedian and he liked to write songs and rap. he also liked to joke around and laugh, showing off his BIG smile.
He loved his children Shana, Eric and Sade. He especially loved his grandkids, all ten of them. They brought much joy and love to his heart.
Jeffery leaves to cherish his memory his mother Sykes Grizzell Long, his wife Spring Frederick, one sister Karen Thornton, one brother Calvin Jerome Thornton, two nieces Cierra Thornton (his favorite niece) and Bertrina Thornton (preceded in death), two nephews James Johnson Jr. and Christopher Johnson, three aunts, Margaret Wiggins, Carolyn Pitt and Jane Clayborne (preceded in death), three uncles Alvin T. Long Sr., James Long Sr. and Lenwood Long, four grandparents (preceded in death) Richard and Corrine Thornton and Margaret and Jefferson Long.
Jeffery also loved his extended family deeply and leaves Bernadette Hart (Na-Na), Ty Hart (Pops), two sisters Erica Brown and Lisa Brown, one brother Pete Brown, his best friend Elder Deborah Berry and a host of other family, friends and cousins.
