Jason Green Obituary

JASON RICHARD GREEN a beloved resident of Essex, Maryland, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love and kindness. Born on July 14, 1967 in Baltimore, MD at the University of Maryland Hospital, Jason was the baby boy to Robert Edward Green Sr. and Barbara Ann Green, now Barbara Ann Moultrie. Jason vibrant personality, charm and loving nature endeared him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Jason was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System, entering primary school at Montebello Elementary School and ultimately graduating from Lake Clifton High School in 1985. He was a dedicated student and excelled in his studies.

As a child, Jason was introduced to Christ at the New Unity Baptist Church, where he was baptized and received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

Although Jason did not have any children of his own, he was a cherished uncle to his nieces and nephews. He was a loving and supportive presence in their lives, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer words of wisdom. He served as a dedicated caretaker to his mother and faithfully helped with the aid of other family members.

From a young age, Jason enjoyed professional wrestling and would often attend matches at the Baltimore Arena. He loved teaching his nieces and nephews various wrestling moves and holds. Eventually, he even turned his mother into a pro wresting fan. He was passionate about fitness and weight training, often spending hours lifting weights in the basement of his childhood home on Chilton Street. To avoid boredom, he would convince others to join him for a workout and turn it into a competition that he would often win. One of Jason's greatest joys was listening to music and dancing to the rhythm of life. His favorite genres of music included R & B and Hip Hop. Later in life, he learned to appreciate classic Gospel tunes. Whether he was grooving to Anita Baker or Kurtis Blow, music was always a source of comfort and joy for him. Jason had a deep concern for his family's well being, showing his selflessness and caring nature. He was a dedicated family man who found fulfillment in helping his loved ones. From fixing things around the house to simply making a quick trip to the store, he was always willing to be there for his family. Jason's inclination to lend a hand knew no bounds. He cherished creating memories with his family and hanging out with friends creating cherished bonds that lasted a lifetime.

In his professional life, Jason found fulfillment in his work as a security guard, handyman, and caterer, where he showcased his dedication and commitment. Despite life's challenges, Jason remained a good-hearted individual who always put others before himself. He was a true gentleman who never hesitated to help anyone in need. Jason's love for his family was unmatched, and he valued the moments spent with them above all else.

Jason will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering loyalty to those he loved. His passing has left a void in the lives of all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

Jason leaves behind to cherish his memory; his mother, Barbara Moultrie; his sisters, Zina Green and Carol Green; his nieces, Tracey Berry (Slim Berry), Brianca Green and Tionna Dorsey; his nephews, Kendall Green (Dolly Green), Warren Sutton (Ellen Sutton) and Justin Green; and a host of cousins, friends and neighbors.

Jason was preceded in death by his father, Robert Green Sr., and brothers Robert Green Jr., and Lionel Green.
