JAMES WILLIS EDWARDS, the son of the late Toney Sr. and Leavoina was born on December 2, 1952, in Edgemere, Maryland. He transitioned on February 26, 2020, peacefully and quietly into eternal rest after a long and lengthy illness. Da, as he was affectionally called by his children and Tape Worm by his siblings, was one of eleven children.
James received his education in the Baltimore City School System. James was self-employed and attended the Dynamic Deliverance Church. James was well known in the East Baltimore Community for his many gifted talents and abilities for fixing and assembling things, building bikes and cars or building a house from scratch without any instructions in sight. He loved cooking and he sure could bake an apple pie. James loved eating and he especially loved seafood and banana pudding. He sure did love watching them western movies, especially while watching his grandchildren. James was the apple of his mother’s eye and he did no harm in her eyes. James was such a momma’s boy because he was her baby boy. Now they forever share eternal life together.
James will be remembered for his laughter, for his helpfulness, for being ready for whatever, whenever.
James leaves to mourn his children: (Daughter) Miracle Edwards, (Son) James Willis Edwards II, (Daughter) Tierra Edwards, (Son) William Mack. Extended children he called his own: Francoisine Howard, Pamela Holloway, Sheldon Brooks, Nakita Solomon. (preceded in death) Shontae Smith.
