A Time To Be Born Guy Kurt Williams, Sr., affectionately known as “Rick” was born on August 14, 1961 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was born to Beatrice and Samuel Williams.
A Time To Die Rick left behind the joys and pains of this world on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 to receive his heavenly crown after completing his work for Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
A Time For Salvation Although Rick believed and followed God for most of his life, he made the decision at age 42 to fully commit his life to the Lord. Joined by his siblings, Rick was baptized by water immersion in September 2003.
A Time To Plant Rick was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System.
He was a self-made successful entrepreneur, owning the very popular Patchase Private Social Club. He also owned and operated several lounges, car washes, and most recently a convenient store.
In addition to his entrepreneurial endeavors, he was a longshoreman with the Port Authority of Baltimore, Local 333.
In his early years, he was an extremely talented basketball player, sharing the court with notable professional athletes such as Sam Cassell and Muggsy Bogues.
Rick had an infectious smile that would light up the entire East Baltimore. He enjoyed gathering with his close friends to partake in a good old fashion card game.
He loved his children and was a great provider and supporter for them. He enjoyed spending time with his children on eating and shopping dates. He spent a significant amount of time with his children individually and established and maintained a very protective yet nurturing relationship with each child.
He had a long-time companion, Deborah Boyd, whom he loved dearly. He enjoyed cooking for her and taking her to new places to eat. Rick was always taking her to see a new car, and they practically lived in a shopping mall.
A Time To Love Rick loved all of his family with wonderful delight. He enjoyed spending time with them and made the most of each and every interaction.
He leaves to mourn his memory his parents: Beatrice (Bay) Samuel (Sam - my-preceded him in death) Leon (preceded him in death); Six children: Guy (Little Rick), Spencer (Buck Jones-preceded him in death), Quran (Q), Jade (Funky Butt), Syetta (Sy-Sy), Imani (Mynie); three grandchildren: Khalil (Lil), Spencer, Guy III; Fourteen siblings: Samuel (Tootie), Derry (Manny), Michael (Mike-B), Mark (EI), Tracey (Poop), James (Ikie-preceded him in death), Donnie, Anthony (preceded him in death), Eric (preceded him in death), Beatrice (Lump), Darlene (Darl), Vicki (Woman), Lisa, Valerie (Val); His long-time companion: Deborah (Debbie); He also leaves his good friends: Arnold, Murphy, Kosher, Pierre, Ty, Motion, Sam, and New York; In addition to the aforementioned love ones, he also leaves behind a host nieces, nephews, and good friends.
