Gladys E Jones

On Wednesday July 26, 2023, Gladys Jones departed this life at the age of seventy-nine years old. Gladys E. Jones, was the daughter of the late Edith Summerville and Charles Chester.

Gladys E. Jones, "Granny" as she was known by all who loved her, received some education in the Baltimore City Public School System. She worked for Blue Feld Catering Company and A'dell Caterers for many years. After working she had the love of caring for many families and neighborhood kids. For many family holidays and get-togethers her home was the place to be.

Granny was predeceased by her husband Frederick Jones; daughters, Shannell Jones and Stephanie Jones; son, Maurice Jones; brothers, James Fincher and Purnell Summerville and sister Evelyn Summerville.

Granny will be lovingly remembered by her children, Edith Jones and Celestine Jones. She will also be affectionately remembered by her brother and sisters, Harrison Summerville, Dorine Summerville, Arnetto Trusty (late brother-in-law Dennis Trusty), Shirley Summerville, another brother-in-law Robert Jones and three sisters-in-law, Ellen Davis, Inathony Summerville and Deborah Taylor; one uncle and aunt Morris Jones and Elizabeth Scott; her grandchildren, Gary, Donte, Rhonda, Terrell, Sean, Tia, Davon, Tiffany, Ebony, Tonasia, Ja'Kaira, Kenija; sixteen great grands, one great great grand; two special nieces, Lynell and Nicole and a host of nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.
