George Smith III Obituary

George Smith, III was born to late George Smith, Jr. and Blondine Hood on February 17, 1953.  He departed this life on April 7, 2021 after a lengthy illness.

George, also known as Stink, Short Dog & Grand Avenue Shorty, received his education in the Baltimore City Public School system. He went on to receive his G.E.D and later an Associate’s degree in Business Administration from Hagerstown Community College.

In 1987 he met the love of his life, Michonne, and they later married in 1993.  He loved his wife and there was nothing in the world that they wouldn't do for one another... When you saw one you saw the other!

George loved the Lord, he received Christ as his Lord & Savior in 1988 and was later baptized in 2009 at Mt. Carmel Baptist church under the leadership of Bishop Leroy Gilyard, where he was a member until his death.

Stink was well known and loved by all who knew him! He was known for dressing up in suits and hats... If you knew Stink, you know he absolutely loved to play the lottery and shop with his winnings. He also loved family gatherings, especially ones with his Prentiss Place family!

Stink was preceeded in death by his daughter Tammy, his sister Theresa & his brother Kenneth.

George leaves to cherish his memory, his loving & devoted wife of 28 years, Michonne Smith, 4 Sons, Antonio, Demetrius, George Daniel & Dwayne, 2 Daughters, Angel & Georgina (Sable), 7 grandchildren, Sanaa, Shemar, Syncere, Aniah, Aminah, Yahmell & Diaja and his babygirl MacKynzie, 2 sisters,  Janet Hood & Marian Autry (Brian) 2 brothers, Samuel & Andre Smith, 4 sister-in-laws, Carrie, Amelia, Rochonne & Doretha, 3 brother-in-laws, Rubin, Joseph (Portia) & Michael (Adrienne) 1 aunt, Mary & 1 uncle Thomas, and his devoted 2nd family, The Williams and Ms. Beatrice (Bae), a devoted friend Manny and a host of many other family & friends.
