Florence B Morris

Florence B. Morris, daughter of the late Hester Williams and Sterling Johnson was born in New York on May 31, 1945. She departed this life on April 21, 2019 after complications from lengthy illnesses.

She received her education at Baltimore City Public Schools. Throughout her life she worked as a nurse's aide, housekeeper and home aide. She retired from Stella Maris in 2005 as a housekeeper and home aide to the chronically ill.

She married the late George Morris. Out of this union two children were born, Jennell Williams and the late Rodney Morris.

Florence joined The Burning Light Way of the Cross Church of Christ in 2002 under the late Pastor Leroy and Mother Flossie Cannon. She received the precious girl of the Holyghost in 2003. She was known as Mother Florence. She was a faithful member for 17 years. After the passing of the late founder Pastor Leroy and Mother Flossie Cannon, she continued to be a faithful and supportive member under the new leadership of Pastor Marlon and First Lady Mary Fitzgerald. She served as a mother of the church and a faithful usher on the usher board.

Florence loved to travel and buy clothes. She said as long as the Good Lord gave her the strength to walk she would continue to travel everywhere she could. She made many friends throughout her life and had many close friendships with people in he building where she lived. She will be truly missed.

She leaves to mourn: one daughter, Jennell Williams and one son, Bobby Knox; two grandsons, Marvin Harrod and Joshua Knox; three great grandchildren, Makaiya Harrod, Lajahn Harrold and Ragan Harrod four siblings, Randolph Williams, Barbara Williams, Marjorie Williams and Matthew Williams; two sister-in-laws, Jacqueline Williams and Ester Wells; one brother-in-law, Tony Morris and a host of other relatives and friends.
