ESTELLA MAE STOKES, was born on June 8, 1937, in South Carolina. Her parents, Curtis Davis Sr. and Ella Mae Davis preceded her in death.
Estella attended Dunbar High School.
She worked with City Wide Bus Company prior to her retirement.
She was married to the love of her life. William Henry Stokes. on Valentines Day, this was an anniversary we could never get. He preceded her in death.
Estella loved her church family Rising Zion Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping, traveling and sometimes bus trips to the casinos. One of her favorite sayings, " I want a tall slim honey with lots of money." She was a joy to be around with her snappy saying to make you laugh. She enjoyed spending time with her family and dancing. She loved her holidays, especially when it was gift time.
Preceded her in death, two brothers, Curtis Davis, Jr, (aka-Tippy) and James Davis (aka-uncle Bunny) and two children, Latonia Renee Stokes and Samuel Lamont Hall Sr.
She is survived by her sister, Carolyn Cooks, with whom she loved spending Christmas. She leaves her children to cherish her memories, Veronica (Albert Brooks), Tawana (Ronnie Brown), Rodney (Andrea Stokes), Corey (Kisha Stokes), Damond Stokes (Sandy Jamison), Darnell (Danita Stokes), Kevin Stokes, Renita Stokes and host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
