Ellsworth “Man” Watts Jr., 54, of Baltimore, Maryland, father of Tavon Watts, Antonio Watts, Sr., and Tinesha Brooks; passed from this life on Monday April 19, 2021 in Baltimore, MD.
Born July 14, 1966 in Rosedale, Maryland to Ellsworth, Sr., and Jessie Watts. “Man” as he was affectionately known to those who loved him, was a good student who loved to be out in the neighborhood. He was very athletic as a youth, and never lost his passion for sports, especially football and baseball. Man loved the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles, but also held a special place in his heart for the Dallas Cowboys.
Ellsworth could always be seen in and around the neighborhood that he grew up in, and was known by many different nicknames such as, “White-boy” and “Reds”. He was always full of life and energy, and was a very neat and tidy person. Man was no stranger to hard work, and getting his hands dirty when necessary. He worked various jobs, and before he became ill he worked in grounds and facility maintenance for an apartment leasing agency.
Man married his childhood sweetheart and mother of two of his children, Lisa Watts in November 1994. Even though the pair separated, they remained very close friends and spoke often.
Ellsworth was preceded in death by his mother Jessie Watts and father Ellsworth Watts Sr.; brother, David A. White; sister Avon D. Hudson.
Man leaves behind his beloved of twenty years, Sharon Capers; sons, Tavon and Antonio Sr.; daughter; Tinesha Brooks; daughter in law, Raquel Watts; grandchildren, Antonio Watts Jr., Logan Marie Johnson, and Chase Watts; sisters Cassandra L. Gross- Avant (Gene), Delarese M. Watts- Conaway (Roland) and Kim D. Watts-Moore (Alonzo). Man leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom he cared for deeply.
