ELIZABETH HANCE, also known as Johnnie Mae, was born on Jan. 5, 1930, to Evelyn Mary and Kell Joseph Hance in Baltimore. Md. Elizabeth was called home on Nov. 16, 2023. Elizabeth was one of 12 children.
Elizabeth worked for Sweetheart Cup Company for many years, which she retired from only to go back to work for Sol Cup Company later. Elizabeth worked at St. Ambrose Catholic School in the cafeteria. Elizabeth final employment after retirement was the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge. Elizabeth was active member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and was a member of the Catholic Daughters Axillary Court # 22576.
Our mother was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. Our mother was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone who lives she touched.
Elizabeth leaves to mourn, her daughter, Michele McClain-Davis, son-in-law, Kenneth Davis; brothers, Irving Knight, sister-in-law, Mertha Knight; brother, Randy Harris and sister, Cynthia Turner; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grands; sixteen great great grandchildren; god daughter Josine Smith and Christine, and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
