Doris Johnson Williams daughter of Benny Johnson and Samella Dotson-Johnson was born in Baltimore Maryland on February 24, 1930. She received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System. Although she lived on the Eastside of Baltimore she was a city girl and she enjoyed visiting different areas of the city.
Doris affectionately called Mama, was a homemaker who took great joy in raising her 13 children she was sociable and outgoing and she loved being around her family. She enjoyed cooking fish, cornbread, cabbage and home fries every Wednesday and Saturday and it was delicious.
Doris leaves to mourn her passing 11 children John Cooper Jr. , Suzette Taylor, Mattie Shivers, Linda Thomas, Ruby Longus, Anthony Cooper, Deborah Robinson , Gail Richardson, Eugene Williams Sr. , Charles Williams Jr, Darnell Williams and Charles (Charlie) Henson. Three son’s-in-law Leroy J. Thomas JR Linwood Longus Sr and Calvin Shivers Sr. , three daughters in law Crystal Williams, Wendy Williams and Tora Williams. 24 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 43 great great grandchildren. She had a husband Charles Williams Senior, two daughters Doretha Cooper and Mary Williams, three grandchildren Linwood Longus Jr, Ronald and Rhonda Taylor, two great grandchildren Gary Cooper Jr. and Derrick Taylor, who all preceded her in death.
