DARLENE Y. ROBBINS, a cherished mother, grandmother and sister, was born on August 11, 1960, to the late Vernel and Lillie Robbins. After a sudden illness, she won her peace on April 12, 2021 at 1:25am. Darlene received her education through The Baltimore City Public School System, graduating from Paul Laurence Dunbar Senior High School. She later attended Sojourner-Douglass College. Darlene briefly worked at the Baltimore Convention Center.
Darlene was a fun and loving person who LOVED to dance. As a child, she was in many dance groups, where she performed modern dance and danced in talent shows. She was a Fabulous dresser, always sharp from head to toe. A confident....If CONFIDENCE was a person, Darlene had it all! From fixing her hair every minute to making sure her shoes matched every outfit. Darlene had a passion for order, keeping everything sparkling clean. If you knew her, she was always presentable. If she could wear her favorite colors, Eggshell or Pea Green, that's all it would've been. Always smiling, always happy, with a heart of gold. she always greeted you with that big, beautiful smile and a kiss on the cheek. She spoke kind words to anyone who crossed her path and left with an, "I Love You". She made all her friends feel like they were family. She treated everyone's kid(s) as if they were her own, always willing to baby-sit. You better believe when you came back home, your house was SPOTLESS.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robbins; one brother, Keith Robbins; one sister, Diane Robbins; one son in-law, Nathan Gordon, Sr.; four special sisters, Ernestine McRae, Darlene Jones, Ms. Tiny and Marlene Williams.
Her Legacy will live on through her children, Diarra Gordon, Vernon L. Wilson, Jr. (Camesia Rice), and Vermon M.
