Cheryl Denise Rorie affectionately known as “Peewee” was born to the late James and Beatrice Bell in Baltimore Md. on August 6, 1956. She peacefully departed this earthly life to join her heavenly father on December 12, 2020.
Cheryl attended Baltimore City Public Schools. She graduated from Edmondson High School. After graduation Cheryl attended the Strayer Business College. At an early age Cherly joined the Friendship Baptist where she was baptised and a member of the junior usher board and the sunshine band choir. She came from a large family where she was the third of six children.
Cheryl was employed with Lucent Technologies in Hunt Valley until the company moved away. She later found employment with the Aberdeen Proving Grounds Child Care Center where she worked until she departed this life.
Cheryl met the love of her life, Clark Rorie, in New Jersey and in September of 1977 they were married. Cheryl loved children. She spent lots of time spoiling her nieces and nephews. Cheryl longed to have children of her own. God blessed them with three special gifts. They were her pride and joy. She had a special relationship with each one.
Cheryl currently attends the House of Resurrection In Jesus Christ where she is a faithful member. She enjoyed serving for the Lord. She participated in many activities at the church. Some of those activities were an armour bearer to the first lady, an usher, head of the F.I.S.H ministries, children Sunday school and she fed the homeless on Mondays.
She built many special relationships with her church family.
Preceding her in death are her parents James and Beatrice Bell, husband, Clark Rorie; sister Sandra Palmer, and a brother James Bell .
Cheryl leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Corey (Lupita), Santaze and Tyanna Rorie; a granddaughter, Serenity and two grandsons; two sister, Linda Bell and Deborah Armes; one brother, Jason Bell; Parents in Christ Alex and Phyllis Edmonds; five aunts, four uncles and a host of nieces, nephews; relatives and friends.
