CECIL MELVIN WILLIAMS SR., son of the late Stephen Williams Sr. and Joyce M. Williams, was born on September 5, 1972 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was greeted by his guardian angel and called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 15, 2020.
Cecil, affectionately known by family and friends as C-Lo Green, received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. Cecil recently worked at Potts and Callahan and lastly worked at Flagger Force Inc.
Cecil accepted the Lord at Mount Carmel Baptist Church at an early age and even joined the youth choir.
Cecil reunited with his true love Colethia Blain in 2016 and they were later married on May 28, 2017.
Cecil was family oriented and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He also loved playing and coaching football. Of course, his favorite team was the Baltimore Ravens and his favorite player was Joe Flacco. Cecil also enjoyed playing and watching baseball as a child and into adulthood. He was also a member of a bowling league at the Rosedale Bowling Alley.
Cecil will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Cecil leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Colethia Williams; mother, Joyce Williams; sister, Trina Hill; brothers, Stephen Williams Jr., Darian Williams; mother-in-law, Melvina Jackson; two sisters-in-law; April Williams and Nyree Blain, one brother-in-law, George Hill; seven children, Brittany, Treshonda, Cekiara, Cecil Jr., Candice, Taylor, and Tylen; three step-children; Shawdonna, Andre Jr. and Ti'Shaun; nine grandchildren, Kylie, Mckinley, Averi, Zyell, Ava, Ivan, Drew, Cyniah and Jaden; two aunts, Connie Green and Sheila Williams; two uncles, Raymond Boyd and Ricky; two God-mothers, Denise Robinson and Molene Martin; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to his late father, Stephen Williams Sr., Cecil was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Christina Thomas; brother, Garrett Boyd; aunts, Claudia Kane and Willie-Mae McCready; uncles, Douglas Williams, Harold Boyd, Cecil Williams,James Boyd and Constance Phillips; sister-in-law, Barbara Boyd; and brother-in-law, George Blain.
