Ben, as he was affectionately Known by many, move along with his family to Baltimore City. He was educated in the Baltimore City public school system to which he graduated.
As a teenager he was always impressed by the arabbers of Baltimore, so he started his own Arab business. Yes, Ben was known to be a Jack of all trades. Who work for many companies , which are too numerous to name. He was known for collecting , reselling and giving items away. He opened a thrift store and had many garages full of items. He was definitely a self-made construction and carpentry worker. He was always fixing something. He kept a very accurate record of all the many job orders he had , facing each and many composition notebooks. One of his favorite things to do was cooking especially for others and he was very good at it.
Ben met and had a very close relationship with LeVern. To whom he calls skinny. They were together for over 27 years. Within this time they united in marriage. LeVern was always by his side.

Now this part right here shows us all the grace of God. Just a few weeks before Ben departed from us, As he was lying in his hospital bed talking to LeVern, Jan as she was sitting there over heard Ben say something that caught her attention. So she Politely intervened and asked Ben what was he saying. He said to her "help me". As She spoke with him more he said something to this effect. "How can I ". you see Ben who up as a child going to church; his grandfather was a pastor. Start going to church make you right with God, Ben would say no. He knew there was more to life in just the way he lived it. So Jan lead him in a prayer of confession and repentance. He understood that he need Jesus forgiveness in order to be right with God. Praise God for his mercy and grace.
Those preceding him in death were his parents and his godson Calvin.
