BARBARA ANN YOUNG, was born on December 17, 1938, in Baltimore, Maryland. She was lucky number seven of 12 siblings (six deceased) Clayton, Herbert, Joseph, lee Roy, Grace Wallace and Claudine Goodman from the union of Isaac Clayton Young, Sr. and Irene A.(Powell) Young, both deceased.
Barbara was educated in the Baltimore City and Howard County Public School Systems. Barbara took great pride in her career at Kane bag and Supply Company, where she worked for over 40 years before retiring.
Barbara loved traveling, family get-togethers, and was well known for her family barbecues. One of her great pastimes was to play bingo on her yearly trip to Atlantic City, the weekend after Thanksgiving.
Barbara was a warm, caring and giving person who always wanted to make you laugh until you were in tears. She lived her life at her own rhythm without any apologies. Her grace and beauty were only second to her generous heart, and the wisdom she spoke to anyone that needed to hear it.
Barbara leaves behind her greatest treasure: her son, Daryl Young; she and her life partner, Jerome Kane (deceased) raised their son the best way they knew how and both were very proud of the man he became.
The last years of her life were spent with her son Daryl; daughter-in-law, Jacqueline (Jackie); three granddaughters, Chasidy, Ashleigh and Harley; two grandsons, Tysco and Daryl Christopher.
The memories of her life will go on with tales told by her four sisters; Yvonne Wallace, Helen Anderson, Geraldine Friend (William) and Shirley Henderson (Christopher); one brother, Edward Young; special sister-in-law, Ruth Young; goddaughter, (Lil) Barbara Young; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
