Adam Custis Obituary

Adam S. Custis (Sarge) was born June 15, 1962, to James E.

& Delores E. Custis. (Both are deceased) He departed this earthly

home for his heavenly home on June 15, 2021.

Adam was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He received his education in the Baltimore City Public School system. He worked for White and Turner Construction Company. He helped build 95 North, leading into the Fort Mc Henry tunnel.

Adam spent most of his time drawing, singing, collecting knives, and watching old TV shows, especially the history channel. He loved to box and always wanted to teach people how to box. If he loved you, he didn’t play about you. He would go to war for the ones he loved. Even as time went on, he would tell you all the stories of his younger days.

He had a strong love for his family. Adam never married but he had a special friend Katasha Davis that he loved so very much. Whenever you saw Sarge, he always had a newspaper or something to read he was big on education, politics and current events. Adam made friends everywhere he went and would keep you laughing.

He leaves to mourn: his daughters, Kiwahna and Kandace and grandsons Kaiden and Gregory; his sisters, Yvonne Briscoe, Joanne Watty, Janice Custis and Sharon Shropshire Butcher; his Favorite Big Brother, James E. Custis Jr. (Jimmy), (Michael and Eric Custis who preceded him in heaven) two brothers-in-law, Larry Briscoe and Eddie Butcher Jr.; sister-in-law Tammy Custis; so many nieces and nephews, (great and great grands) who loved him so much. He had so many special friends, Moby, Larry, Kelly, and Darlene just to name a few. No matter what you called him Adam, Sarge, Pop, At Smat, or Moe Joe, he will be missed and was truly LOVED.
