Yvonne M. Nock

YVONNE MARIA NOCK, daughter of the late Donald Green and Juanita Wilson was born on January 14, 1959 in Baltimore, Maryland.

She received the Lord Jesus Chist as her personal Savior and was baptized at Israel Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Edmond D. Meade, Pastor. Maria loved music and sang in the choir at Israel.

Maria received her education in the Baltimore City Public Schools System, graduating from lake Clifton High School. She also attended the Baltimore Studio of hair Design.

From 1978-1980, she attended the Peabody Music Institute where she obtained Scholarships by auditions through her teacher, Dr. Maurice Murphy. While attending Peabody, she also attended Baltimore City Community College with studies in Music and Office Management.

Her only child, Derek Maurice, was born March 4, 1980. Maria and Anthony Nock were married July 10, 2004. Maria loved her family and especially enjoyed the holidays with her Mom cooking their favorite foods.

Along with involvement in other ministries, she belonged to the NAAAP & AACML under the leadership of Dr. June Hunter and Drs. John & Kim Newhaus.

She worked as a home health aide,a bus aide and for 17 years she worked at Mercy Hospital as the Executive Assistant to the Chairman of Radiology.

After a short illness, Maria departed this life on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

She is survived by her husband, Anthony; son Derek; mother, Juanita; a host of cousins, apostles and friends.
