Yvonne L Dunlap

YVONNE LUGENIA DUNLAP, daughter of the late Pearl and James Dunlap, was born in Baltimore, Maryland on March 6, 1954. She departed from this life on September 15, 2024.

Yvonne graduated from the Baltimore City Public School System and completed her education at Fairmount Hill High School # 453.

Yvonne, affectionately called "Edie", was the fifth of eight siblings. She dedicated her life to Christ at a young age.

Edie found immense joy in reading to the children in her community and had a special talent creating baby dolls from pillows. Her daughter Alisha recalls, "the thang was bigger than me ! It made me happy; I would walk around hugging it". Her nieces will forever remember her colorful drawing which inspired fanciful dreams and fairytale endings.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Elizabeth Lane; sisters, Brenda and Loretta Dunlap; brother, James Edwards; sister-in-law, Vilma Ramos Dunlap and her dearest granddaughter Kaylah Williams.

Yvonne is survived by her only daughter Alisha Lynn Dunlap Edwards and son-in-law, Dion Edwards; sisters, Carolyn Sinclair and Janet Toliver; and brothers, Melvin, Ronald and Tyrone Dunlap. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will cherish fond memories.
