William Henry Powell

William Henry Powell, son of EmmaB.(Leonard) Powell and the late Charles H. Powell, was born September 22, 1958 in Baltimore, MD and departed this life of July 16, 2020 after battling a lengthy illness. With the support of this family, William fought until the very end.

William received his education from the Baltimore city Public School System, finishing with a high school diploma. At the age of 18, he began his career at Baltimore Gas and Electric as a substation operator and remained there until his retirement. He loved his job almost as much as he enjoyed bowling, traveling and spending time with his family. William better known as NeNe, was always the life of the party and the comedian. Anytime someone entered his presence, they were guaranteed a smile.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Emma Powell, three brothers Charles Lightner, Charles Irvin Powell, Anthony Powell; three sisters Linda May, Gwendolyn Powell and Janice Powell. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
