WILLIAM SLYVESTER JOHNSON, JR., was born to the late William & Noami Johnson on August 19, 1951. He departed his earthly life on August 31, 2026. He completed his education at Douglass High School. He worked with the Department of Public Works until his departure.

William known by many as Chicago Bam was a serious man, but if you knew him he could be a funny guy too. He did however make a lot of friends. He lived a fruitful life and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a provider and made sure that his family had what they needed. He loved watching sports and old westerns.

He leaves to cherish his memory forever: his (4) daughters, Sherry, Bambi, Jasmine and Miylah, (5) grandchildren, Shanise, Sharron, Shanelle, Darrin and Brayden, (2) great-granddaughters, Fatimah and Aminiata, his siblings, Barbara, Debra, Larry, Kenneth, Kevin (Darlene), Noami. Preceded in death Ronald, Sherman and Telicia. He will also be missed by a host of other relatives and friends.
