WILLIAM McLaurin III, son of the late William
McLaurin Jr. and Thelma Pressley McLaurin, was
born into the earthly existence on June 28, 1958
in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on
December 8, 2017 after going through a lengthy
illness.
William, aka "Boo", grew up in East Baltimore
where he went to 149 Public School and went on
and graduated form City College, making two
grades in one year. He went on to Morgan State
University where he majored in History earning his
B.A. degree. William became a correctional officer,
worked with Internal Affairs for the inmates, and
was later promoted to Sergeant. William was also a
member of Phi Beta Sigma.
Boo joined the Pleasure Grove Baptist Church under
Rev. Robert Haynes and alter moved his membership
to Shepard Community Baptist Church where he served
as a deacon under Rev. Andrew Ferges.
William, "Boo", will be missed by his loving sister, Vanessa
McLaurin; close friend, Agnes Stokes; and a host of other
relatives and friends.
