WILLIA MAE (STEWART) STARKS, the first daughter of the late Allen and Carrie Stewart was born on October 11, 1942 in Mecklenburg, North Carolina. She transitioned this life to her heavenly home on Friday, January 15, 2021 after a lengthy illness.

She was baptized and dedicated her life to the lord Jesus Christ. She joined Sweet Prospect Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Fletcher Jackson and later joined Good Tidings Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Mark A. Wainwright where she remained a faithful and dedicated member until she passed away.

She was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System graduating from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. She worked many jobs over the years and was employed as a dietitian at Maryland General Hospital until she retired in 2010.

She was united in holy matrimony to Leo Johnson Sr., who preceded her in death and from that union three sons were born Timothy, Warren and Leo Johnson Jr., she later met and married Michael Starks, Sr. on August 29, 2009.

"Pig" as she was affectionately called thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family. She got great joy from going to family gatherings, playing games, laughing and talking, having fun and making lasting memories. She loved her family dearly. She was preceded in death by her daughter; Angela Armstrong, her brother Charles Stewart and her sister Bobbi Ann Cottman.

Memories of her life are cherished by her husband, Michael Starks, Sr., three sons; Timothy (Rita), Warren (Lynn) and Leo, Jr. (Leslie), five sisters, Shirley Green (John), Brenda Stewart, Phyllis Stewart, Tommie Green, Kery Len Charles, two brothers, James Stewart (Gayle), Ronald Stewart (Barbara); two stepsons, Michael Jr. (Ronda), Marsell (Lolita); 15 grandchildren, Timothy, Natasha, Warren Jr., Jazz, Tre, Tajanae, Thomas, Darren, Tavon, Dontae, Marysha, Micholl, Markita, Sabrea and Maleah, 19 great grandchildren; a special niece Pamela Stewart and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
