Veronica Brown

Veronica better known as Ronnie Brown was born on November 18, 1958 to the late Willie and Kassie L. Brown in Baltimore, MD. Veronica fought a courageous battle with cancer over the past few years and on Saturday, December 31, 2016, she entered into eternal rest at Gilchrist Hospice Center.

Veronica received her education in the Baltimore Public School System and in 1976, she graduated from Dunbar Senior High School. Upon completion, she attended nursing school with her Uncle, Robert Lucky. While working in a nursing home, she injured her back and had to give up her nursing career. This is when she found a love for the catering business. Veronica completed courses and earned her Food Manager Certification while working at Shalom. It was here where she met her best friend Terry Norton (a sister from another mother). Years later she began working for Catering by Yaffa. She spent many hours working at both companies. They were her second family.

Veronica is preceded in death by her father, Willie Brown Sr., mother, Kassie Lee brown and 5 brothers, Willie Brown Jr,, Alphonso Brown Sr., Charles Brown, Michael Brown and Dennis Brown.

She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memories: two sons, Dion Sr. and Davon Brown; a beloved future daughter-in-law, Kanisha Robbins, four grandchildren, Dion Jr., Dhylan, Andre and Kamari; four brothers, Eddie, Kenneth, Cornelius and Macdonald Brown; one sister, Bernice Wiggins; eight sister-in-laws, Gloria, Joan, Ann, Robyn, Rita, Agnes, Vanessa and Cynthia Brown; a brother-in-law, Jerome Wiggins; an uncle, Robert Lucky; an aunt, Delores Jackson and a uncle-in-law, William Jackson of Atlanta, Ga.; three aunt-in-laws, Mary and Eva of Paterson, NJ and Peggy Lucky of West Virginia, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
