Valerie D. Jones

Valerie D. Jones, daughter of Vivian Jones and the late William

Jones, was born on August 1, 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland.

She departed this life on November 30, 2016 after battling a

lengthy illness of breast cancer.

She received her education at Eastern High School in Baltimore

City. Finishing High School, she became an employee

for Wendy’s where she met the beloved father of her children.

Later, she became employed with BCPSS, where she

remained until her untimely death.

Valerie was a strong, loving and caring woman. Her smile and

presence always lit up a room. She was always a true friend

and a devoted family woman who made numerous friends

wherever she went.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her mother, Vivian Jones;

two siblings, Cynthia and Kirk Jones; four children, Daniel,

Jasmine, Shernay and Shawn Bell; two grandchildren, Taria

Brown and Ah’mir Robinson; son in-law, Sergio Robinson;

beloved father of her children, Daniel Bell, Sr.; a longtime

friend, Ralph Bratcher; nieces and nephews, Antoine Purnell,

Jamell Tatum, Melanie Jones, Vlance Sowell, Nettie Tatum, Tori

and Torez Jones; great nieces and nephews, Larry White III,

La’Kayla young, Tanard Wise, Na’Kayla Moore, Dontrell Marks,

Dominic Spencer, Lyric Bynum, Ly’Bria Plater, Destin Spencer

and a host of other friends and family members.

Preceding her in death were three siblings, Sheila, Denise and

Linwood Jones; one nephew, Javon Tatum. She will be missed

by everyone who knew her.
